Firstborn Theatre Company is a London based collective of performing arts practitioners.
Set up in March 2008, our first production Journey Song performed at Theatre503. In the summer of 2008 we presented Playlist, an audience controlled show comprising short plays from new writers, at Theatre503 and the Etcetera Theatre.
In January 2010 the company expanded the audience interaction and mask elements of our previous work, for a site specific piece in Brixton Village Market called Identity Swap Shop.
For the Christmas season 2010 we created Winter Tales – a back-to-basics experiment in the simple power of storytelling.
Currently we are preparing a series of podcast recordings of neglected 16th and 17th century plays – they’ll be available here soon.
Also keep you eye out come the end of the year for a Fin de Siecle style sequel to Winter Tales!
